Tyler Junior College is a testing center for the GED exam.
Testing Location: RTDC (Regional Training & Development Center) Room 131
Bring these required items:
Government-issued ID containing
Name of candidate
Date of birth
Photo
Signature
Current address
Social Security card
Check, money order or exact cash to pay fees for the following options:
$60 for complete battery of five tests.
$30 for morning session, which includes certification fee
$30 for afternoon session
$10/test for retesting; additional processing fee required for out-of-state
If all required items are not in order and brought to the test site, no test will be administered to candidate.

Testing Day Schedule: The GED test have five parts for a total testing time of 7 hours.
Registration 7:45 a.m.
Testing begins 8:00 a.m. on same day.
Demographics (all 1st time testers)
Math 90 minutes
Language Arts/Writing 120 minutes
Afternoon Session: 1:00 p.m.
Science 80 minutes
Social Studies 70 minutes
Language Arts/Literature 65 minutes (may not be available on Saturdays)
Special accommodations: If special accommodations are needed, an application must be completed and approved. After approval, arrangements may be made by calling 903-510-2913.
If you tested in 2002, you may test without a waiting period. After testing in 2003, in order to retest, you must:
wait six months from the date you last took that test
ORhave completed 20 hours of documented training in each area to be retested either through the Adult Learning Center or with a State-certified teacher;
documentation must be presented at the time of retesting
Limit : Three tests on each subject in a calendar year
